Improvise or Fall – Your choice

Readers! I hope you all are fine and still safe from COVID-19. If someone is already infected then there is no need to panic, keep yourself happy and
engage in positive stuff. Tell your brain 20 times a day that you will
survive. Eat plenty of vitamins and keep social distancing. Another thing that
might help you is to eat dates and honey. They will work like magic.
Lockdown and your Brain
Lockdowns
are everywhere in the world. They are a good and effective strategy to
overcome any global pandemic. But things are not easy when you are at home. You
can either Improvise or Fall – your choice.
When
you are forced to stay at home things are different. The first week is good and you
all spend it enjoying Movies, Games, Cooking and Family time. As the first
week goes off, it creates boredom and then you feel an urge to go out. You
start searching for the reason of your lockdown. And keep discussing it with
your friends and family all day long. This is good but to some extent. Excessive
discussion and information can hit your mental health. You may not get the disease but the fear will get you. The simple
rule on the working of the brain is Garbage in,
Garbage out (GIGO).
The
the output is always dependent on the input. If you will keep feeding your brain
with COVID-19 news and videos of dying people or body disposal videos, they
will damage your brain resulting in abnormal behavior, low mode anxiety and
depression. I have seen such cases. People talking nonsense,
repeating their words again and again without any pause. Or lying quietly in
their beds, thinking about the issue and crying from inside. Such conditions
only lead to a lack of immunity and mental breakdowns. Both can be life taking
while a global pandemic like this.
What to Avoid
As we
have all found that this virus was prepared somewhere. And the motive was to
create a disease that spreads fear globally but kills fewer people. We can
verify this by the current death toll. You can get the figures from Worldometers. As their plan was to
create a fear globally then it is obvious that they will use media as this is the
most effective way of transmitting the information. And they are using it more than
enough. Where ever you go on the internet you will find COVID-19. And one of
the most dangerous sources is Whatsapp and Instagram. People are constantly
sharing garbage. So try to avoid such social media groups and TV channels.
How to overcome
The way out of it is very simple. Just think of it like an opportunity that you have
been waiting for, for a long time. You have all day and night just for yourself.
Usually because of excessive work and social gatherings you are unable to get
some time for yourself. You had a lot of things to do like learning a language, or
a skill to improve your career. You wanted to lose fat and work on your habits.
The options are limitless.
In
In my case I was unable to quit smoking because of my friends, was gaining weight
and suffering a lot of muscular problems and was unable to improve my skills. During
this lockdown I quit smoking, started exercising, learned some cool skills,
started blogging and my sleeping habits are getting normal again.
You
too can turn this COVID-19 lockdown into an opportunity to improvise yourself. The Internet is full of resources. Learn, create and share. You will start enjoying
this lockdown (which is not good actually) but it is better than getting mentally
ill. So make a list of to do’s and start.
