How to change Lips Color

Smoking can turn your lips purple, or dark pink or black in some cases. And you look awful. Some people believe that the color of the smoker’s lips cannot change, however, there are some natural remedies that worked. But you have to quit smoking for better results. So let’s see this Smokers Tip: How to change Lips Color.

Why this happens

Well, it happens because of Melanin. People with darker skin produce more melanin. When you smoke, your lips feel the heat and think as they are exposed to the sun and produce more melanin in the result is the change in lips color. So if you use to continue smoking, even the best remedy won’t work

Original Remedy

I found this remedy on the internet and it worked for me. I also made some additions to it which boosted the overall process. Originally there were 3 steps
  1. Take lemon juice and mix it with some cinnamon powder. Apply it gently to your lips. After 5 minutes wipe it off with something soft.
  2. Next, massage your lips with Vaseline. Rub them in circles for a few minutes.
  3. After a few minutes rinse it off with water. And use Chap Stick.

My Additions

In addition to above steps, I added the following things to my routine
  1. I quit smoking. It helped me a lot. The main thing that affects our skin is the circulation of blood and the amount of oxygen in it. Smoking decreases oxygen intake and circulation of blood.
  2. A glass of water and honey in the morning. Honey is very useful for our lungs. It cleanses the airways and helps the lungs to remove mucus. And it also helps in burn and wounds heal.
  3. Added a workout routine. Exercise helps to increase oxygen intake. It makes our lungs strong and increases overall lung capacity. It also helps to increase blood circulation.
  4. Maintained a good 8 hours sleep. Sleep helps to relax, heal and improve your body.

Following these steps can help you change your lips color and recover from other effects of smoking. It will take some time so you need to be consistent and patient.
