Natural Energy Drink
People from countries with high temperatures have developed different methods to kill the heat. One of them is the famous “Sardaai”.it not only kills heat but gives energy and strength. It is a famous drink from Punjab. All Desi Wrestlers love this drink. It requires a lot of power to make it. Very few people can make the most effective and tasty Sardaai. Let’s see how this Natural Energy Drink is made.

Ingredients

Black Pepper

Black Pepper - 4 pcs

Almonds

Almonds - 250 g

Green Cardamom

Green Cardamom - 2 pcs

4 Magaz

4 Magoz - 1 tsp

Pumpkin Seeds, Melon Seeds, Water Melon Seeds, Cucumber Seeds
Fennel Seeds

Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp

Milk

Milk - 125 ml

Poppy Seeds

Poppy Seeds - 1 tsp

Sugar

Sugar - As to taste

Tools

  1. A Large Mortar
  2. Wooden Pestle
  3. Thin Cloth

Method

Take Overnight soaked Almonds in the Mortar and Grind them. First Press them and then move Pestle in circles. Gradually add little amounts of water whenever the paste gets dry. Add all other ingredients except sugar and milk. Keep grinding in the same way till the paste is smooth and there are no visible chunks. The taste and Quality depend on how smooth the paste is so you have to grind a lot. Don’t make it too thin. It should be a little thick. The consistency must be like peanut butter. Once it is smooth, add water to it. Stir it and continue adding water until the mortar is full.

Take the cloth and make a sack. Take a large pot and place it under the sack. Tie one end of the cloth to something. Pour the mixture from the mortar into the sack. The water will pass to the pot along with the flavors and the ground material will stay on the cloth. press the material in the sack with your fist to get the very last drop of the "Sardaai". Add milk and sugar. Stir it until sugar is dissolved.  Add ice and serve.
The method is simple. The efficacy of this drink is cool. And it is very energetic. You can drink it before and after workouts to have a blast of energy.
